So this has been bothering me for awhile now. I'm a type of person, if I don't say anything its going to drive me crazy. So here it is. I'm looking at this as a person who loves both genre both i'm gonna represent J-POP. Its kinda of ridiculous how all these kpop fans are demeaning Japanese artist and I think its time to split fiction and reality. Japan is the second biggest music industry behind the U.S. K-pop doesn't not even make the top twenty. I'm not saying kpop is not expanding globally but its not overshadowing Japan as much as the Korean media wants you think. Next, the kpop is like a pie and everyone wants to get a piece of that pie. However, there's only so many pieces. Perfect example is all these girl groups debuting. 27 had debut this year!27 guys, that's is just crazy, and I honestly I can only remember like five. Also, the quality of what kpop is producing has gone down. You guys have to agree with me on this! The majority of these groups they debut don't even last a full cycle of promotions. They are more focus on the getting members that look like popular member from others groups and focus on their image rather than their vocal and dancing talents. Okay and the industry needs to get this out of their heads, just because your pretty DOES NOT mean you can sing. I mean whatever happened to groups that would train four, five, six, even nine years before they made their debut? Now, its like one to two, even nine months before they make their debut. It you see its not enough time with live stages, being not so great.
Another thing is getting ridiculous is the amount of kpop groups going to Japan! I can see why some Japanese residents are getting fed up. It's like their forcing their music down their throats. It is possible NOT to like kpop people, its not for everybody. And the songs they translate into Japan, the majority of them sound horrible. I just listen to SHINee's Lucifer in Japanese and it was TERRIBLE. I mean I love SHINee but come on really?! The only thing I could clearly hear was LOVEAHOLIC, and that was in English. First, Lucifer is really hard song to sing in Korean, so I don't think that was a smart choice for their third Japanese single. If you going to sing in another language, take the freaking time to LEARN the language. Another example is T-ara's Bo Peep. What the hell was that? I didn't understand a word and Japanese version had so much auto tone!! Ugh, kpop industry are rushing too much to get into the Japanese market, to make a quick buck and the quality is clearly suffering!
My last point I'm going to make it the battle between AKB48 AND SNSD! It's not really a battle when one side, AKB is clearly winning. I don't know what's up with SNSD's fanclub, but they are so delusional. JUST BECAUSE SNSD IS NUMBER ONE IN KOREA, DOESN'T MEAN THEIR NUMBER IN JAPAN. In Japan their ROOKIES, and AKB48 is big boss on campus guys. Ever since they debut in Japan, Sones are just attacking the AKB girls. One example, is their attack on their music videos. Like Heavy Rotation, Everyday Kachussha, or Ponytail to Shushu. Their claims, is they were bikinis, lingerie, to sell their music. SO WHAT? your saying SNSD doesn't use their bodies to sell music? That's a bunch of crap, and they know it. AKB48 is selling their sexiness, cuteness, just like SNSD does. And Everyday Kachussha and Pontytial to Shushu are SUMMER SINGLES!! Their at a BEACH. Its not like their wearing bikinnis on stage people!! Some say oh all of AKB fans are only male, so your saying SNSD does have male fans? I've seen their performances. A LOT of the fan chants are males, so don't use that lame excuse. Sure, you might not agree on how they portray that with the AKB girls kissing in Heavy Rotation and whatever, but its not a big deal. Japan is more liberal than South Korea, and don't have to conform just to make kpop fans happy. Actions are speaking louder than words. Four of their singles have sound a million copies!! They DON'T CARE about a girl group who's just entering the jpop scene. So basically, Sones making SNSD look bad with this petty jealously and imaginary rivalry. While they are hating, AKB48 is selling millions. So why they hell would they and their fans care about what Sones have to say? Exactly, they DON'T.
K-pop is not all bad. I think it offers great things at times and I see why a lot of people are drawn into. I'm huge of B2ST, 4MINUTE, 2PM, AFTER SCHOOl BIG BANG, SHINee and list goes on! I even like some of SNSD songs,I think Genie is their best song. But don't say that jpop is all crap because its not. I just think this war is really silly, but I'm sure a lot of people disagree but this MY opinion on the matter. If you don't like what I'm saying TOUGH, get over it! So leave me your comments, on YOUR personal thoughts. We can have a argument without getting into name calling, that's just juvenile. REMEMBER MY OPINION!!! U R FREE TO AGREE OR DISAGREE!! I'm not going to kill if u don't agree with me ppl, i like to hear other perspective. Jpop has to offer as much as Kpop does, but than again many will disagree.
So true so true.
